A collection
of historical documents owned by Clayton author June Glick is now available to the
public on microfilm at the Glassboro Pubic Library. The documents date from the 1800's
and include maps, records and other items pertaining to the Clayton/Elk/Glassboro
area.

Singles Dance Is Set in Vineland
The
Cumberland Chapter Single Parents Society will hold their weekly Sunday dance at
The North Italy Club on Virano Ln. and East Ave. in Vineland from 8-11 p.m.
Live
music is provided. Free refreshments will be available. Price is $5 for members and
$6 for prospective members.

Parenting Program
The Elk Township
School District is offering a free seven week Parent Training Program "Systematic
Training for Effective Parenting" to help parents understand their children's
development and behavior.
It will give parents practical suggestions on how to
listen and talk to their child as well as suggestions for discipline that makes sense.
The
sessions will begin on February 16. The program is open to all Elk Township residents.
Day and evening claeses are available.

Commission Seeks New Membership
Are you interested in the future of Franklin Township and how it will develop? We
all want to have a say, but how? If you have ideas, skills and time to contribute,
consider the Environmental Commission. They are a group of residents who meet once
per month to discuss and evaluate proposals for land use and natural resource conservation
in the Township.

available for students, adults, senior citizens and groups to offer their time and

Income Tax Aide for Senior Citizens
The AARP Tax-Aide program will again be offering free income tax assistance to the low to moderate income, elderly taxpayer. The Tax Aide locations will be open from February 1-April 14. You must make an appointment and can do this by calling one of the numbers listed.

Trinity United Methodist Services
Trinity United Methodist Church, 351 N. Delsea Dr., Clayton, holds two services
each Sunday morning. At 9:15 a.m., a contemporary service features instrumental music
by the Praise Team and singing choruses. At 11 a.m., the service is more traditional,
with organ music, anthems by a chair, and singing of familiar hymns. The sermon at
both services is presented by Rev. Jeffrey Tilden. Sunday School for all ages is
held at 9:15 a.m.

The Scotland
Run Park Nature Center is offering outdoor and nature related activities for "Singles
Only" on the third Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. this summer. Singles, 18 and

and Senior Volunteer Program (R&SVP) is looking for you.
R&SVP provides
volunteer opportunitles for people with a variety of expenences and interests. Its
members offer services which utilize their talents and skills on behalf of non-profit
organizations throughout the Gloucester County area.
M. Eileen Sharp, of Mullica
Hill, is Director of the county organization. She points out that the energetic members
of R&SVP serve in interesting posts throughout the area. Many work out of headquarters
in College Center, on the main campus of. Gloucester County College.
Others serve
at schools, shelters, libraries, police departments and other service centers.
Currently, R&SVP is in need of volunteers skilled in craft Projects or computer
